No to Abortion, Yes to War

So says Pope Benedict XVI.

There may be a legitimate diversity of opinion even among Catholics about waging war and applying the death penalty, but not however with regard to abortion and euthanasia.

This came straight from the mouth of Cardinal Ratzinger when he put American bishops on notice that Bush should be president instead of John Kerry. You can read the entire letter.

So, killing Iraqis so that Halliburton can keep its cash cow may be OK. It seems that Catholic politicians who advocated the monstrosity of occupation can still take communion.
