Ronald Reagan

The conservative cult of personality has begun. Reagan won the cold war, blah, blah, blah.

Reagan raised the deficit, backed dictators in Central America and Angola who killed thousands of civilians, and institutionalized the transfer of government dollars to the wealthiest Americans, a trend that has continued until today. Reagan ignored the threat of AIDS until thousands had died. I am also convinced that Reagan was responsible for keeping the hostages in Iran to prevent Carter from winning. I hope that the truth about that is told some day.

Let's see if the conservatives who allegedly love him so much will help Nancy Reagan in her efforts to find a cure for Alzheimers through stem cell research. I wouldn't bet on it. They love to protect embryos, not anyone who has actually been born, not even their supposed icon.
